Emerging Professionals

After being established earlier this year in March, the Emerging Professional component of AIA Florida Southwest has several ambitious goals. As young design professionals who are establishing our roots, we want to educate our community about the benefits of good design. We firmly believe that organizing programs and events that stimulate design sensibilities can help lead to a much better built environment. Being a liaison to other local art/cultural events and creating local design competitions is critical, as it will also help our design sensibilities evolve, while allowing for public awareness, involvement and networking opportunities.

Another goal is to enhance our own professional careers by acquiring ARE study materials and forming study groups in order to promote licensure. We have several young inspired individuals on board to help us to achieve these objectives and are excited for the future of design in Southwest Florida.
